product description

In Ukrainian tradition, the Motanka doll is a powerful ancient talisman of protection, love, and family wisdom. She is a guardian of the home, anchoring generational strength and protecting the future.

This special doll is part of the "і нічого не бійся" (and fear nothing) collection.

Gifting this candle is a beautiful way to wish someone:
1. Protection & Peace: A traditional guardian for the home, shielding loved ones from harm.
2. Courage & Resilience: A physical reminder to "go forward and fear nothing", despite life's shifts.
3. Hope for Tomorrow: A token of light and renewal, honoring the past while building a brighter, braver future.

Why You’ll Love It

Whimsical Decor: Features an intricately detailed Motanka design, capturing traditional attire and cultural symbolism that looks stunning even when unlit.

The Perfect Symbolic Gift: A deeply meaningful present for dreamers, heritage lovers, or someone needing a reminder of their inner strength.

Why It’s Truly One of a Kind

1. Locally Sourced Beeswax: Made from 100% pure, raw beeswax from a local beekeeper in Middelburg (Zeeland). It is harvested in a gentle, bee-friendly way that protects the hive.
2. Independent Craftsmanship: I hand-pour every single candle myself using unique molds purchased from a small business in Ukraine that designs them by hand.
3. The Cleaner, Better Burn: Beeswax naturally purifies the air when burned, releases a delicate honey aroma, and lasts twice as long as standard paraffin candles.
4. Natural Shimmer: Infused with ethically sourced, natural mineral powder. It gives the candles their magical, metallic finish and creates a beautiful shimmer in the wax pool as it melts.

Made with Purpose

I started this project to honor my dad's memory after losing him on the front line. To keep his light burning, proceeds from this collection are donated to help Ukrainian children and youth, in partnership with the Ukrainian club in Zaandam.
